Pre-Zambia

Hello Friends!
I can't believe that our trip to Zambia is only 4 weeks away. Abby and I leave July 7th, and will return on July 24th. I already have my suitcases out, and I am slowly beginning to check things off of my packing list. Every penny needed for my trip has been raised, including an extra $500 which will be used to purchase shoes for the orphans so that they can attend school. In Zambia, for a child to go to school he or she must have a pair of shoes. Not just any kind of shoes- Zambian- approved school shoes. The shoes are $20 a pair, and since most families live off of less than $1 a day, it is impossible for the children to attend school. Being able to provide for the orphans reminds me of a passage in Mark, where Jesus proves that through Him, anything is possible. "Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God; all things are possible with God," Mark 10:27

I will be in charge of 10-12 orphans each week during my visit to Zambia, and with the extra $500 every single one of my kids will receive school shoes! The Lord most definitely provides, and I am excited to see how He will continue to provide for the children, and how He'll humble me through this experience. The glory goes to Him!
